The Data Center Open started with two friends, a shared belief, and a simple question:
What if the industry that powers the modern world could use that same energy to make a difference beyond business?
After years of building relationships across the data center industry, Brad Gray and Charlie Scott saw something special, a community built on trust, hard work, innovation, and a willingness to show up when it matters. They knew the industry had the talent, resources, and heart to create a meaningful impact. It just needed a cause to rally around.
Giving back wasn't an afterthought, it was the reason they started.
What began as an idea between friends became the Data Center Open (DCO): a way to bring together customers, partners, competitors, and friends around something bigger than themselves. More than a golf tournament, DCO became a platform for service, connection, and community.
That vision quickly grew into something much larger. In just two years and five tournaments, the Data Center Open has become a gathering place for the industry and a powerful force for good. Through the incredible generosity of sponsors, players, and supporters, DCO has raised more than $427,000 for the Fisher House Foundation and PGA HOPE, helping support Veterans, Active-Duty Military personnel, and their families.
But for Brad and Charlie, the impact isn't measured by dollars alone. It's measured by the lives touched, the families supported, and the community that continues to come together in service of something greater than itself.
The Data Center Open was built on a simple belief: when great people unite around a shared purpose, extraordinary things happen.
What keeps the Data Center Open growing is the same thing that started it: an industry that shows up when it matters. Every sponsorship, every round played, and every dollar raised reflects a community that understands its reach and chooses to use it well.
